Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2025
This Privacy Policy describes how the Aurelia Protocol (“Aurelia”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles data in connection with your access to and use of the Protocol. Aurelia is a decentralized application (dApp) deployed on public blockchain networks. We do not collect personal information unless explicitly provided by the user.
By using the Protocol or any associated frontend interfaces (e.g., app.aurelia.finance), you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. No Personal Data Collection
Aurelia does not collect or store personally identifiable information (PII) such as names, email addresses, physical addresses, or government identifiers.
We do not run user accounts or store credentials. You interact with the Protocol using a self-custodied wallet (e.g., MetaMask, WalletConnect), and all on-chain actions are initiated and signed by you.
2. Public Blockchain Data
All interactions with Aurelia smart contracts occur on public blockchains (e.g., Ethereum, SONIC, Arbitrum). This means that:
Your wallet address, transaction history, and smart contract interactions are publicly visible and permanently recorded on-chain.
This data may be indexed and analyzed by third-party explorers, analytics services (e.g., Dune, Etherscan), or our own dashboards.
We do not link wallet addresses to off-chain identities.
3. Analytics & Performance Monitoring
To improve the usability and performance of our frontend interface, we may use privacy-conscious analytics tools (e.g., Plausible, LogRocket, or a self-hosted instance) that collect non-identifiable information such as:
Browser type, device type, language, and screen size
Pages visited and interaction durations
Referring websites (if any)
No wallet addresses or personal identifiers are stored in analytics logs.
4. Cookies & Local Storage
We may use minimal cookies or local storage solely to:
Remember your selected blockchain network or wallet connection
Enable language or dark mode preferences
Prevent repetitive prompts (e.g., warnings or disclaimers)
These are non-tracking cookies used only to improve your experience. You can manage or delete them via your browser settings.
5. Third-Party Services
The Aurelia frontend may interface with or embed services such as:
Wallet connection providers (e.g., WalletConnect, MetaMask)
Oracles (e.g., Chainlink)
External protocols (e.g., GMX, Pendle)
Analytics or monitoring tools (see section 3)
We do not control how these services handle data. Use of such integrations is subject to their respective privacy policies and terms of service.
6. Communications
If you voluntarily contact us (e.g., by email, Discord, or GitHub), we may store the content of your message to address your inquiry or improve our services. We do not use your contact information for unsolicited marketing.
7. Data Retention
Since we do not collect personal data by default, we do not retain user data. Any optional or voluntary communication (e.g., bug reports or audit disclosures) is retained only as necessary for support, compliance, or security purposes.
8. Security
We implement best practices to secure our infrastructure, including HTTPS encryption, GitHub code integrity, and smart contract audits. However, the nature of blockchain technology means that:
Data on public networks is immutable and cannot be deleted
On-chain interactions may be publicly traced and analyzed
You are responsible for the security of your wallet and private keys
9. Children’s Privacy
The Protocol is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has interacted with us inappropriately, please contact us.
10. Policy Updates
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. All changes will be reflected on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Protocol constitutes acceptance of the current version.
11. Contact
